Re: Prague/Bowen celebration videos
We won something of note for the first time in over forty years who can blame true supporters for celebrating the fact.

And we all have perspective on the supposed level of the tournament but are proud that we are the first EPL team to win it.

Re: Prague/Bowen celebration videos
This is how I see it.

Because we had won our first trophy in 40 odd years, we had to (and rightly felt)the need to celebrate a bit crazy. It was human nature.

What was really good for us, was that we got to experience us winning something.

However, I soon had the feeling/realisation (a week or so later) that it was only a 3rd rate competition and that this should only really be a stepping stone to greater things.

Obviously, for those that went to most of the games they will feel more passionately about it. Great for them - they deserve it.

In a weird kind of way, if we ever did win the Champions League, as fucking brilliant as that would be, I’d probably, eventually, feel almost a sense of “fuck the only way is down from here” although then of course, the challenge would be for us to try to keep winning it so we could rub it in all the ‘BIg Six’ cunts faces.

There is no real glory in winning the Conference League - but it’s a great way hopefully, to set us on the way to bigger and better things.

As I say, nothing to shove in the faces of all the ‘Big 6’ (I’ll be honest, a massive part of us winning something great, is so that I can do that)- but, never the less, a very nice experience we can all enjoy.

I think where it will hopefully, also serve us well, is that we’ve shown we have bottle to win something when expected to.

All good experience in our quest for world domination…

that statement is up there with people that state "I'm crazy me!" usually touted by the office bore!

I can't see the problem with what Manuel has said, it's just how he felt about it. We're all different.

That 24 hours I spent in Prague was one of the best days of my life, papa johns or not, and being at the parade the next day showed exactly what it meant to people. Bit churlish to think otherwise.

LT - Yea, obviously I was happy that we won a trophy and already have a photo of the trophy lift in a frame that I got from ebay, and no doubt would have enjoyed it a lot more had I been in pub there or in Prague instead of watching on tod in the early hours, but I stand by what I say it's a crap tournament and I'm hardly the only one who has said it.

Like I say I was devastated to lose to Frankfurt and will always hold a grudge against the Scouser, who never really showed any remorse for letting so many down.

Put it this way, I'm looking forward to this seasons campaign more than I was last season.

I'm a bit gutted for you that your never felt that way about winning it, Manuel.

I don't think anyone is suggesting it was hugely difficult for us to win, but after so many years of fuck even winning the Papa John's trophy of Europe meant something to so many.

Re: Prague/Bowen celebration videos
It was mental in the fan park when that goal went in, strangers hugging, tears flowing everywhere like a release of 43 years of absolute frustration. The weird thing is I don't remember it feeling nervous or tense between the goal and full time, just a full on knees up celebration going on, what a fucking few days that was.

''THE explosion of 40+ years. You all know what I mean.''

No, not really. It's a crap competition only just invented to give shit teams a chance of playing in Europe, it's the Papa John's trophy of Europe. Nice to win it yes and it got us into the EL, but I can't hide from the fact that it's a crap tournament, because it is.

Now the Europa League really would be something, I was devastated when we lost to Frankfurt, a far bigger emotion than what I felt after we rode our luck and won in Prague. Sorry.

His goal is definitely one of those make you feel good moments. I don’t think I have clips of us in the stand as I’d probably would have lost everything and worst of all my phone. Most people seem to end up down the stairs or in the next row as the raking was very steep and slippery with all the spilt lagers! Being towards the back I didn’t want to end up flat on my face as a result.

I have videos of just as the final whistle blew as I could prepare and position myself for that eventuality!!

I’ll check through the library and see if I have anything
